Re: Fun/Easy ways to Exercise
I'm thinking about finding a way to put my laptop onto my treadmill, then getting a wireless presentation mouse so that I can play poker while I jog. Has anyone tried this? I think it would be a...

Re: new MGM Grand poker room
I was there last week playing 4/8 and found it mostly loose, sometimes aggressive. I had a great week, up $400 over about 8 hours of playing. I found some dealers to be really good and others...

Re: Calling all-in on a draw
Unfortunately I don't know the prize distribution or any other details. Let's assume it's a fairly standard payout structure. This is a hand that a friend brought up for discussion and it got me...

Calling all-in on a draw
Two table tournament, 8 players left, top 4 make the money. Blinds 100/200. Three players have T1000 or less, the others range from T4000 to T7000. Hero is in CO with T4000.
UTG (T4000) raises...

The hand that crippled me
I know I shouldn't post results, but I think it will be pretty obvious that I lost this hand or I wouldn't be posting it. This is the hand that crippled me in the Party million dollar guaranteed...

If he was all in the call would be easier than easy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure I understand this logic. If he was all in, the pot size would be around 33K and you would be required to...

Re: Interesting hand
I like the flop raise because:
1) You have 3 players left to act after you. By just calling you're encouraging one of them to make a move.
2) It will give you information on where you stand.
3)...

Re: Interesting hand
I like your raise on the flop, but I don't like your call of UTG+1's reraise. You're calling 10,000 of your chips into a pot of 19,000 (I think) so you're not even getting 2-1 odds. You have many...

Re: *Official* Party Super Thursday
Thanks Z.
Next tournament for me is the million dollar next weekend (won a satellite). That's actually the reason I played this tournament - just to get some experience playing higher buy-in...

Lost most of my chips early in the third round with AJ against AQ and an Axx flop. I'm still kicking myself for calling his all-in on the flop. That...

Re: *Official* Party Super Thursday
2nd break, still at table 11. Went from 3700 down to 2000 and now back to 5431.
Got very lucky one hand. A guy with about T1500 in EP min-raises. Folded to me on the button I call with QJ. ...

Re: *Official* Party Super Thursday
Table 11, my first "big" tourney (over $30) and I'm nervous as hell.
Holy crap I just got AA in the BB and THREE people went all-in ahead of me. What could I do but call and took them all...

Thanks Winky. I agree with your observations about Axs, small pairs and suited connectors. What about hands that I would normally raise with, like AJo? Since I know my raise will not (likely)...

Adjustments for REALLY loose tables?
I'm wondering what type of adjustments to make at an EXTREMELY loose, passive table. Normally I play online at 2/4 or 3/6 limits, where I see an average of 4 players to the flop and occasional...

Re: KTs, 4-flush, folds turn
I call here as well. I can't imagine either of them already has a boat - even at low limits that would be unlikely. Unless you have a good read otherwise I wouldn't expect a reraise from UTG+1.

Nice to be on the winning end of that hand.
Reminds me of a no limit SNG I played awhile ago where 4 players ended up all in before the flop on the first hand. They had AA, KK, AK, and 55. The...
