Monday Night Game

Early O/8 Impressions
Well... I finally decided to get a PokerStars account and start playing O/8 there -- mainly because I figured that I could play .25/.50 and get a feel for the game in general. Initially I regretted...

Re: Best site to start?
I'm figuring I'll probably put $200 wherever I decide to start my O/8 playing... so, would that be OK for the Party .5/1? That's what I started with for the .5/1 HE games on Party, so hopefully it...

Best site to start?
I'm not quite ready to start playing O/8 just yet... I'm reading Tenner/Krieger, but I'm just curious as to if anybody has any suggestions on where the best micro-limit games of O/8 would. I've...

Ever too early?
Hey guys... just curious as to folks' thoughts on here as to if it would ever be too early to begin taking another game seriously. As with most who are relatively new to seriously playing poker,...

Re: Can I do anything differently here?
Thanks for the feedback guys... like was sasid, at the moment I'm probably being too "results oriented," due in part I'm sure to be on a bit of slide. I just wanted some reassurance or opinions as...

Can I do anything differently here?
OK... first hand I've ever posted. As I noted in my post concerning SSHE, I'm getting absolutely SMOKED since I've started playing again after reading it.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed)

Re: Huge swings common after SSHE?
I can definitely see what everybody is talking about, but I think I may be running into a problem that I've seen of a few other posters... I might be becoming too aggressive (if that's possible). I...

Re: Huge swings common after SSHE?
LOL... thanks for the pic.
Those numbers were kind of picked out of the air by me, not exact. But, like you said, I am finding myself building larger pots than I would have in the past. And, not...

Huge swings common after SSHE?
Yeah, I know, I know, it's a small sample size having only played for the last 2 days or so... but wow, applying some of the concepts from SSHE, obviously being a bit more aggressive than I'm used to...

Re: Go ahead and buy PT now?
This might sound very dumb and newb-ish to some, but I'm curious as to if Party Poker or any other sites consider using PT while you play as unethical or "illegal"? It just seems like a serious...

Go ahead and buy PT now?
I know that a lot of folks on here recommend PokerTracker as strongly as possible, and initially I didn't think much about since I wasn't certain how valuable it would be playing at the micro-limits....

I just got through SSH and what I did was this... I read through it completely, rather than stopping and pouring over any single section for too long. But, along the way, I typed down important...

Re: Flopped straight - missed bets
Guess I'll throw my two cents in...
I think I 3-bet the flop for the reason that you identified... while you're holding the nuts at the moment it's a very vulnerable hand if a diamond falls and...

Opinions, pleeeeeeeeeease
Hey guys... I decided to take the time off before moving up to 1/2 on Party and tear through SSHE. Funny thing is, now that I think about it, maybe I would be better of trying to get a feel and let...
