Top pair into top trouble

BigFish is 54/6.45/1.5
DecentPlayer is 23/4/0.77

Based on prior play I assume DecentPlayer to be, well, decent. I hit top pair on the flop, but the two spades are no good.

When the ace hits,...

Re: Betting out middle pair from early position

Sure, I just wonder if its often enough that playing like this is the best way.

What about betting the flop, then checking the turn on a blank to see if anyone has a Q?

Betting out middle pair from early position

Everyone in this hand except me is 60% vpip/2% pfr/1.0 post-flop aggression (or around there.)

Based on pokertracker reads I bet out middle pair. Did I play this well?

Too aggressive on the river here?

Villain is 48% VPIP, 13% PFR, 2.71 post-flop aggression

Spotted him raising with a couple questionable hands earlier, is the only reason I reraised on the flop.

Re: low limit texas hold em in vegas

Most of them are smoke free; I played at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and the Bellagio; all of them were good (soft too.)

Re: I think I wussed out here

Hm, I hadn't thought much about drawing out even if I was behind. Good point.

CO I had 5 hands and no pokertracker data, so that didn't help of course. SB had a VPIP of about 95% after 50 hands.

Re: I think I wussed out here

I don't like to raise this in early, in fact the only time I ever consider raising it is late. The reason is that I hate to play this hand out of position. Maybe I'm wrong, is a raise with KQ from...

Hands that make you cry!

I'd been playing at this table for awhile. Hadn't seen this much aggression yet .. I figure on the turn I am drawing to two outs. By the way, MP1 is very loose-passive (90%+ VPIP) but he has been...

Why did you raise UTG with pocket 7's?
