so I'm chatting with arkady about our hatred for the Yankees and we come to a conclusion...

Derek Jeter is like QJo, and specifically the crappy QJo, Q /images/graemlins/club.gifJ /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. it seems good when you know nothing about the game, but when you realize what's going on, you realize it's a piece of [censored]. it has all those worthless intangibles, and occasionally does something pretty good, like make a broadway straight. but in general it needs to get lucky and flop a boat to have any value, but even Roger Cedeno or 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif could do that.

so please, the next time you pick up QJo, or see Derek Jeter on TV, don't mistake it for something with value, because it's clearly -EV

(and yes, this is a topic related to small stakes hold'em)

His bat more than makes up for his concrete glove. I don't like him, but I think he's more like KJs. A long-term winner with a giant potential for pain.

KJs? Whats next, you going to compare him to big slick? I respecfully disagree! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nomar is ATs: powerful but fragile.
ARod, respectfully, is big slick.

A-Fraud is more like AA being dealt to a real dumbass. You hate to see it happen, but he makes a lot of money.

I say he's big slick cause he's the best shortstop in the history of the game.

Let's put it this way. If every shortstop in the history of the game were available right now, I would draft A-rod.

kevin elster was a stud. i remember when he hit 3 HR in a game when he was like 40 years old on the dodgers

but Sugar Rey Ordonez is clearly the best
