That sounds like a typical party hand. Hard for me to offer advice, because I busted out on the bubble the other day for the opposite reason (this was NL, though). I'd raise with A10, the button would push me all in.. over and over again. I folded to his raises and eventually blinded out basically. Your case is definitely a suckout and couldn't be avoided. The question is how cautious do we need to be against these psycho's right around the bubble. I think your play was fine.

With the BB and the SB on serious short-stacks, I'd seriously consider folding A10 preflop.

If you do play A-10 here, you definitely should raise. However, once you've done that, you're committed to go all the way with it.

Once you're heads-up with TPTK, you're definitely not folding.

I'll take a stab at it. Usually when I play a SNG with 4 players left I will only play the best cards, or the best position. I figure if I am UTG I don't want to play, I'll save that bet to steal a later blind, especially with the SB making one more orbit and being out. You were betting into the big stack, who is probably going to try and steal the blinds anyway. And the SB may be looking for a final standing hand. Thats my two cents on the preflop. Other than that I think you played it well and just got unlucky on the turn.
