Spent Christmas week with the in-laws, so no poker time logged, but I had a chance to re-read some poker books. I ran across a suggestion from a well respected poker author that suggested in order to draw at an open ended straight draw with a two tone flop, the pot needs to be offering you somewhere in the neighborhood of 15:1. This seemed to be a ridiculously high number at first glance. I do require the pot offer me higher than the standard 5:1 on a two tone flop, but never have I needed 15:1 to continue.

Obviously a lot of factors need to go into such a decision, such as the number of opponents, etc. but how much of an overlay do YOU require before continuing a straight draw on a two tone board? All responses are appreciated.

I did do some math and the results were interesting. I'll share a little later after hearing some responses. Thanks.

I want around 8:1 to take a card off, exact number varies on more specific game conditions.
