I doubt the guy is that stupid. I'm guessing this is cynical propaganda aimed at getting fish to stop playing poker so they have more money to lose betting on horses.

They are just sad that there will never be a harness racing boom.

Yeah I dont see how he could believe what hes writing but I still find it funny cause his points are so stupid. Like the whole rake excuse just doesnt prove anything.

Hmm, so this is why my ROI is low! It's not that I'm an idiot who can't play proper SNG-strategy /images/graemlins/cool.gif

It's funny when people make claims like this without any mathematical justification whatsoever.

For instance, did you know that it's impossible to make money by opening a resaurant?

Sure, it may look like you're doing alright after one busy night, but that's not the whole story. There will be other not-so-busy nights where the restaurant will lose money. All the profits from that one busy night will eventually be washed out and you will eventually lose money because you have to pay for rent, staff, supplies, and other overhead. If it weren't for taxes, you might be able to make a profit, but ultimately, all your money will go to uncle sam.

Let me see if I understand this article correctly; you can't beat online poker because of the rake....but you can beat B&M poker?

If you want to trust and believe comments stated on poker forums which are making huge commissions from your gambling losses, then that is up to you.

I don't think the author ever said that.

People are always looking for reasons to justify why they lose.

For those of you watch Survivor (I'll admit it), it is just like those guys who blame the 2 finalists for not having integrity. They claim that is the only way they were able to beat them, is that they have no moral standing. There is no way I could lose if I had no morals like you, but I do...that's the only reason you won.

People need justification. They just cannot grasp the fact that they are simply not as good, or have to work hard to become good. It's never their own fault.

The works by David Klunky and Amazing Malmouth with the supporting preface by an honest mathematician, statistician, or numbers expert who understands harnessing horses? /images/graemlins/tongue.gif /images/graemlins/tongue.gif /images/graemlins/tongue.gif /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The funny thing is that tracks have a much higher rake than online poker.
