It shouldn't be, but that is still eleven 45-50 minute sessions of poker.

I feel I need those 5-10 minute breaks between sets. If I bust early in a couple I don't mind opening a couple of new ones though.

I don't because I'm still getting used to the interface. I find party poker to be a pain in the ass, waiting for tournaments to open, jumping onto a table just to find that every spot is filled. I would love to see a queing system, in which I could just put my name on a list, and a tournament would fire off every 15 seconds.

I do start new tournaments if I get busted in the first 2 rounds.

How many simultaneous tournaments can you people normally handle?

Personally, I find 8 quite a challenge, but I've never tried 10, so couldn't say for sure. If I want to really concentrate on reads, 4 is better, but I think my optimal amount is 6.

I only respect 100 if you're 4tabling. 8+ tabling this is weak /images/graemlins/wink.gif

12-05-2005, 08:42 AM
Yeah i've been doing 8 recently and despite what everyone says I find it alot harder than 6. Feels like I'm losing a lot more small pots than I would otherwise cos I have less time to maneuver post flop. Maybe just variance, who knows, but I feel a difference. 20 tables is just flat out insane.

Try 10 for a bit, then 8 will be a cakewalk. I jumped from 6 to 12, and 10 is like slo-mo by comparison.

Duh, I can do only 4 in sets or 5 continuously. In sets, I'm bored the first 4 levels then It's getting quite busy for me, especially when I'm at the bubble even more when I reach headsup in a couple of them.

But there is some truth to this: If you want to add a table better add 3 and play 2 hours like that. Then you are broken in for your additional table.

I've been running continously 4 at a time lately. I'll run them for a couple hours then take a break. The problem I'm running into is the if I bust one in the latter levels, and the other three are in late levels, it's hard to keep the loby open long enough to restore.

I 10-table the 55s fine... 8 table if I feel like watching TV.

It's honestly not that hard.

With the new party beta software, 9 isn't bad at all. I'd be able to play 9 continuously if party had any sort of real queing system.

I have no problem with 8-10 tabling on PStars (but I 8-table because I don't like the overlap). The lobby is so bad at Party though that I would probably flip out trying to open new tables. Oh and when I want to raise at Party the increments are always so low that it takes more mouseclicks.

Raptor,

Are you running two party accounts...?

All, I continually either 4 table or 9 table. I find that you are losing way to much time if you don't play continuous. I would also suggest staggering start times when you are playing, I started off 9 tabling on the 6s to get a feel for it, and I was on all 9 bubbles at the same time, made for some very fast decision making. #1 recommendation though is, try it at lower levels first.

no.. that would be against tos.. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

i havent 20 tabled in a few months. i did that to see if i could make 100 an hour assuming everything else failed and i had to play the lower limits. lately ive been playing a bunch of mtts and 215s, occasionally some 5-10 NL, and im going to try to learn limit. 300 an hour making 1bb/100 at 30-60 is appetizing. ima be donking up the 10-20 games for a while 8-10 tabling if u wanna make some free money. holla

I only multi-table blackjack.
