Some songs are way better with headphones because there is some parts of it that you can barely hear without them. An example is acoustic version of song 41 DMB. It becomes way better with headphones. If you don't use headphones you should. Many songs become way better.
edit: Also if you turn the bass way down, that would probably have the same effect.
