Do you expect to be ahead here the majority of the time?

If I read it right you raised all-in?
If so, it is very likely you are ahead.
Most of the time I would put him on an ace and a higher kicker.
It also depends on if he was aggressive on more the tight kind of player.
Against a tight one you're ahead most of the time and an aggressor might even raise with kicker lower than 8.
When he has a set of 8's or 9's or even aces, you're nearly drawing dead.
It mostly depends on the read you have on him.

Looks like you are ahead of AK or AQ. I like the turn push. If villain has A8 or A9 you will have to pay him off.

He may have A /images/graemlins/spade.gifK /images/graemlins/spade.gif and thought he was pot-building on the turn. Otherwise that turn bet is very disconcerting, but I am not laying down two pair on this board.

Against this opponent, I am getting all-in, also. I doubt he lays down any ace here.
