Can I network 2 laptops together to share a Verizon Wireless card?

Can this be done. Would I need a router or any special equipment? I want to be able to 8 table when I'm not at home. Any info or links would be appreciated.

you can use your LAN port with a cross over cable, be sure to set up a network with the right computer (with the wireless card) as the host computer.
