Soft wash cloth with room temperature water. Get it slightly wet and clean the thing.

Never use anything like windex or other ammonia-based cleaners. Soft lint-free cloths with a VERY mild solution. You can buy LCD cleaning wipes by companies like kensington

Rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab works well, also safe for the monitor.

Don't do it. Alcohol will remove the anti-glare coating. Use this (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=292492&pfp=cat3) instead.
