View Full Version : What stock market software do you use?

If any... Just seems like it makes things tons easier/is required. I've learned alot (not enough im sure, but a good start im sure) and im about to start paper trading, i figure i should get a solid feel whatever software i plan to use before i start putting my money into this venture.
BTW i current plan to start out by swing trading, and maybe some position trading. I eventually hope to add in day trading but i dont think that is in my near future.

do none of you money making stock dudes use software that gives you easy access to full charts/news info/ect?
If so just say, because that surprises me and i enjoy learning new things =).

you mean like yahoo finance? thats what i use...
or also my ameritrade client has a streamer thats pretty cool, but for news etc i use yahoo...

yeah pretty much any program that helps you wit hthe stock market. Realtick is pretty much what i mean.
Anyone used those that cost more cash to buy with a MUCH cheaper monthly fee? such as star trader, qcharts, meta stock, and im sure theres more.
anyone used these?

Active traders use the following software (or comparable)...
Tradestation, cybertrader, realtick, etc... as their broker, for direct access trading, .01/share or less commissions and many tools (including automation).
Qcharts for intraday charting.
TC2000 for End of Day scanning.
