Raise flop, other than that, there's not much you can really do. The A didn't hit him, he probably has something like 99-JJ that just got scared of both the A and the 4-straight on the board. Sometimes no one just has anything worth playing back at you with.

Well, you know this but....raising the flop some amount, any reasonable amount, makes a bigger pot for the turn, so your half-pot bet there will be larger. Doesn't look like he had much anyway with his turn-check.
