Villain is a bit loose aggressive pre flop, super aggressive post flop.
Thoughts?

Of course the first response would be fold pf. I'm pretty sure I trust fnord's judgment about when he can play this hand preflop UTG. And I like the line against a hyper-aggressive postflop player who'll fire many barrels.

I hate being UTG with KQo so I fold there.

I think my hand sucks 3-way on the flop so I fold there.

I guess turn and river are fine.

Maybe I'm missing something (hint, reference to fnords), but I think you fold pf and since you didn't you need to do something to find out where you are. Calling passively ain't gonna do it.

against a maniac, you don't need to find out where you are. you let him bluff because that's what he loves to do.

this hand is pretty close, but if you trust your read its ok.

If you feel you have a decent read here, I like this play. This would make a good addition to the thread in MTT about keeping a pot small(ish) and getting worse hands to pay you off.

Either way, I think I like this given your description, but 1 question.... if SB calls the river, are you overcalling here?

PS - I don't know why everyone complains about the PF call.... if a player feels that they are superior POST-FLOP against their opposition, I see no reason to loosen up PF limping standards a bit.

A couple quick comments:

I normally open fold pf here, occasionally I call and fold to a raise. Since the raiser is a bit of a maniac, I already have a plan for the rest of the hand, so I call.

I hate the third person, but since he's being so passive, I'm not too worried about him.

In a cash game I have no reservations about this line, I am not sure it is good here. (I'm pretty sure it is +EV in terms of chips, but I think it is close in terms of cashing ev).

I'm about to finish my second and last set for the night. I'm going to have a beer, watch some adult swim, and play a little EQ2, I'll post the results before I go to bed.

Villain had A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif and mhig.

Oh, and in my second set I had 5 5ths and 3 8ths and I don't think I went out before the fourth level in any of them. wtf? meh.
