orange power light on 2001fp when connected dvi

the monitor works fine when connected with the vga cable but when I try and connect it using the dvi the screen is blank and the power light turns orange???

does this happen when you cold start your computer, or when you try switching the computer over while windows is alredy loaded?

while windows is loaded, do i need to restart? Its working fine with the vga cable, I checked the cards manual and it says it must be the primary card so I check the bios and it is let me hook up the dvi and restart the comp

Had the same problem, I dont really know exactly how I solved it, but I think I just made sure no vga was hooked up to it, hooked up the DVI, turned off the PC, turned it on again and it just worked.
