Hero in BB ????.

Let me add a side note. This players screen name suggest he is a 2+2'er but that really doesn't help me here. He may just be testing the waters with his pansy raise or he may be trying to induce an all-in. I think the greater question still applies: Are pansy raises in position generally indicative of weakness? Is an allin re-raise standard here?

alot of it depends on the player making the raise. of course its more likely to be a steal if its coming from the button, but whether the player is tight or if he has raised every time he is in late position matters alot. whether or not you want to re raise all in i think depends alot on your cards because you are going to get a call alot of the time since he did raise a 1/4 of his stack leaving him with only 700 if he folds.

Hero has J9o. My bad --

Without a read, Should hero play back with any suited connector or connector T9o and above?

he has raised more than half his stack and you have J high. If he was trying to steal my blind with crap in this situation he has it.

He bet less than a 1/3 of his stack in an obvious steal situation. I auto folded but I think I should have gone all-in.

Read-dependent.
