contrast on laptop

just go my inspiron 6000 with WUXGA. The problem is my contrast is messed up. The colors are too light and i cant see stuff. Its not a brightness issue. I downloaded the latest drivers and it didnt help. Any suggestions?

I don't know about your specific model, but most laptops control those functions with a combo of the "Fn" key and the F1-F12 keys. GL.
