I had planned to buy some today, but I wasn't going to spend more than $70 a share. When I got a chance it was already around $80 and I figured it was to pricey and not worth it. I almost died later in the day when it was at $130 a share. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Dont forget that China isnt like the US and still has a +90% agrarian population...the internet penetration will prolly take decades to reach 50%, and theres bigger search engines in China than Baidu....most punters who are getting online here have already done so...maybe they didnt get screwed THAT badly??

Yea I've heard most of that but are you sure they aren't the biggest search engine in China? I've heard only about 9% of the population has the internet. I also know google has invested in Baidu as well.

Yeah, google bought a couple of percent. I cant speak or read chinese, but my GF says none of her friends use it, and there are bigger ones with better results. So its kinda second hand info from chinese customers FWIW. She still uses google a lot as well....9% sounds about right...everyone in the cities already has the internet....everyone else lives on small farms....most of them dont use electricity or gas to heat their homes or cook with.

I really wish I had enough money to invest in the stock market. I plan on building by bankroll back up to at least $2k or so. Will $2k be sufficient for a starting portfolio?
