I want to wipe my hard drive clean and start over. Do I have to go into DOS and... I can't remember. F/Disk or format/C or something like that.
Can anybody set me straight?
Thanks.

if you're looking to go with a clean install of an operating system, you should restart the computer with the cd inserted in the cd-rom (make sure you have propoer boot order in the BIOS, CD-ROM first). this should boot you into the installation mode for the operating system. as you go through the steps, you will come to a screen to format your hard drive. format it how you would like.
now, if it's just a drive you want to clean off, then going into DOS and typing: format c: /s -- will do the trick (everyone has their own switches they like to use, use what you want)
