I seem to only post hands where i misread min-raises, so here's one where i'm right...

Preflop: Hero is MP with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.50.

Flop: ($8.50) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)

perfectly played

EDIT: uh, based on your read. i'm not advocating calling down with one pair every time there's four to a straight on the board /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the turn might be a good time to put him all in, he doesn't have much money left and I would want to put it in before an A, K, Q scares his TT away or loses you the pot.

the problem with putting him in on the turn is that if he has basically a pure bluff, then he'll fold. by calling i allow him to make the final desperation bluff. your point is valid though.

Are you sure you had him on a pure bluff (actually it was a semi-bluff, he had outs, river is pure bluff, though) before you saw his hand at showdown?

You'll probably be up against a lower overpair or TPTK more than you will be against a pure bluff. Plus many opponents will realize that if you called that bet on the turn you won't be folding for a lower percent of the pot.

i agree and had similar thoughts. however, what does putting him in on the turn accomplish other than potentially causing him to fold his TPTK and pure bluff?

I think most of the time I see this line villain has a set.
