Hi, I was wondering what is the correct size for a continuation or a probe bet in an $11 SNG. In the Beat PartyPoker $10+1 (I play on pokerroom, im guessing its basically the same) it says post-flop all bets should be the size of the pot. However, HOH2 says a continuation bet should be 1/2 the pot and a probe bet should be 1/3-1/2 the pot. I know HOH2 is meant for MTT. Right now, I've been comprimising and been making bets from between 1/2 and 1/1 of the pot. Should I be betting more/less in these situations?

HOH2 continuation and probe bets don't really apply to PP's $11 tables.

Right, that what's I figured. Do you think pokerroom's sngs are similar in terms of difficulty? Also, do you agree that all bets should be the size of the pot or greater? That seems excessive to me. A lot of times it seems like I can take down a pot if its checked around to me and I bet 1/2 the pot. Maybe I'm missing something.

That's a bit of an overstatement.

In HOH2, Harrington also says you need to mix it up to keep your opponents on their heels. Which you are doing by taking the advice of both writers. $11 SNG or the WSOP main event, might as well get in the habit now.

Keep doing what you are doing.

I haven't read HOH2, but in HOH1, in at least one instance, he says a bet that is trying to make people fold should be larger online.

I would argue that on Party 11s continuation bets are the single best way to spew chips and cripple your stack.

Only if you feel you have to do them every time you raised preflop.
