I had lunch at my home today with a friend of mine who is also my accountant. We had talked about poker in the converstation and he came back to my home office and I showed him Party Poker. I run a small business from my home. I had mentioned that I wanted to get a new computer so I have nothing on this computer except Business use only software. He said that I need to do that since I claim this computer as a 100% business deduction.

Ok now that that is out of the way. This is what I have picked out and saved but I have not ordered it yet.

The main thing that I have noticed is everyone here is hardcore about 1600x1200 resolution. I also want this to be a computer that I do not need to upgrade for 2-3+ years.

I am not so much concerned with did I over spend a few hundred or I can get this cheaper if I have someone build it. I just want to know will it work for playing poker for the next 2-3+ years?

Uh, yeah, should be fine, just like the $400 machine someone asked about yesterday...

This is more money than you need to spend to run poker software. I realize you are trying to build for the future though. I'm not sure about your video card choice (I just don't know much about vid cards), just make sure it'll support two monitors if you decide to do more than 4-table in the future. Unless you have another backup solution in mind, I'd add a second hard drive for use as a backup device for critical data. Hard drives are inexpensive and data loss is very expensive. Good luck.
