I know there are a bunch to choose from, but I see this one advertised the most I think. Do you agree? Is it the best one for a beginner?
Do professionals go to a different site?

Not sure about the best, but it's definitely the biggest, and it seems to attract the most amount of new players, so the games are usually pretty good. Customer service isn't the greatest, but the games still make it worth it.

Personally, I think it is terrible for beginners. If you want to begin playing online with a small bankroll, PartyPoker is not for you. There smallest limit games are 0.5/1
I would suggest PokerStars, there small limit games give you a great feel for the site and the game.

Biggest, but not best. Pokerstars has my vote for best.

stars would get my vote if the layout didn't give me a migraine, way too grainy and hideous, just doesn't look smooth at all... the avatars are a + though.

Party is where alot of players end up, just due to the fact it's so huge, however as people have mentioned if you are brand new then I think .5/1 is too rich (the minimum at PP). You should make sure you can consistenly beat something like .05/.10 before jumping into .5/1, cuz if you can't beat .05/.10 you stand no chance anywhere else.
