I sometimes get the popup that tells me to shut down the client and restart it. The flops will start to get all screwed up, tables will flash, etc. I have a 3 month old computer with high amounts of RAM, i dont understand how it cant handle it. I 10-12 table btw. anyone have any idea or do I need to get more ram. I have 2 gigs right now I believe.

How big is your PT database? Are you autorating yourself? Using PV or GT+? Watching porn on media player in the background?

I have around 200k of my own play plus I datamined 15-30 a ton. I run Playerview/PT. No, I dont autorate. Nope, no media player, just AOLIM & IE, sometimes winamp.

I have seen poker tracker bog down even the fastest machines. Doing a ton of database insertions, plus the sheer ton of text parsing that that program does, you're looking at some overhead.

Try using this freeware that I found called "process tamer", set your PT and PV to Low and turn on a radio if you are using winamp to download songs etc... cause that would probably eat a lot of cpu.

Anyways, this thing will give you room to experiment on the CPU priority settings, if you need more ram, god help us all...

P.S. read the instructions and use common sense regarding the priority settings for CPU, if you have none then seek some out, common sense that is, i don't presume everyone has that yet regarding computers. Don't do things like use Realtime etc...
