I have been using dual monitors for some time now. I just got 2x 2001FP's yesterday. Plugged them in and they where working great.

I left for dinner tonight to find them in disaray. All my icons had been moved and the right monitor is meessed up. There is a black bar, approximately 1/3 of the screen in which nothing is displayed and my mouse cannot enter. There is desktop on bothsides of it. However the 2 inches of color on the left is acutally a continuation of the right side of the monitor. I tried to mesw with the Display settings to no avail.

I asked my father if u did anything, and he said that he flipped the swith on the surge protector.

Can this be fixed, or did I jsut kill one of my twins?

they are right next to eachother, i cant keep them to far apart as that would make 8 tabling rather difficult.

Ill move em a bit and give an update

so i moved them a foot away from eachother and id didnt change anything..

I did notice an error pop up I ahvent had before nor have anyclue as to what it is, may be part of the issue?

"erroer loading C:/program filies/wild tangent/apps/CDA/cdaEngine0400.dll"

guess that could also be random spywear, i ahve no idaea.

I just had the same problem with my new 2001fp. I hit the menu button and clicked factory reset. That fixed the problem.

Good luck.

I had what sounds like the exact same problem with the display on my HP ZD7050 laptop. I had hooked up a second monitor and ran it at 1600x1200. Then I shut down and disconnected the 2nd monitor without changing any WinXP settings. The next time I booted my laptop display was corrumpted exactly as OP described. I tried many things to reset it, but so far nothing has worked /images/graemlins/frown.gif
It still will drive a 2nd monitor correctly but the main screen remains corrupted. I'm at a loss for any solution..

Can anybody make any suggestions?

Thanks,

Did you berate your dad? This sounds like the suit incident.

Really, wild tangent has been on 3 of my computers and I thought it was important. None of my spyware detectors get it. I'm getting rid of that crap right away.
