How is my flop lead even though I whiff?
I figure he will have missed the flop often, and a hand I could have called from the BB may have connected.

I may have overthought this and should simply give up when I missed

I was not sure how I should have played this. Advice?

I would lean towards pushing this PF but if this guy was on the tight side I could be persuaded to fold. Under no circumstances would I call this hand out of position*.

*(math: getting 2.5:1 to hit a 2:1 shot, *but* if he is tight enough for his range to have you in trouble, you won't like any flop, and if he's loose enough for you to have him beat - he should be - pushing is way better than calling.)

Flop's a clear check/fold.

You've only got 2200 behind when your opponent raises you to t400. There's already t625 in the flop, which is a lot...

Considering you called, this is a pretty good bet to fire out on...

Without a read, I certainly don't fire the turn.

Adanthar's better than I am. Listen to him. He's right too.
