The previous hand was an extremely wild raising fest and then came my chance to join the fun. The one downside to this hand was that I spilled coffee on myself. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cutoff had AJ /images/graemlins/heart.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif
MP2 had pocket 5s /images/graemlins/confused.gif

At one point I was actually worried about four 9s. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

OMG, what were MP2 and CO thinking - especially CO! Hard to believe your re-raise of MP2 on the flop didn't slow him down on the turn - at least he wised up on the river.

Yeah, when his pocket pair was counterfeited by the two pair on the board, lmao.

I was shocked by the result.

I'm not sure how much of it was related to several players steaming from the last huge hand.

I'm not sure what other people think about this, but I seem to do much better on tables full of maniacs than I do with loose passives. The variance is a lot higher, but you just don't see this kind of insanity on a table full of rocks and loose passives.

The only thing I would do differently is you must raise/3bet yourself on the river.

I'm finally getting to the point where I'm satisfied that I can identify player types fairly quickly when I sit down at micro tables (not too many people shifting gears around here) and change my style accordingly.

Here's a hand I loved from yesterday. I was at the end of Maniac's Row; the player to my right was reacting to the two players to her right by trying to isolate them on EVERY hand. The two players to her right were capping EVERY street between them, talking about how they "loved it." I don't think they were colluding or anything, or if they were they were doing it very badly as they wound up net negative between them.

Oh, UTG+1 was a decent player that had recognized their behavior as well, and could easily have been playing A-rag, as that often beat these jackasses.

Why didn't you cap the turn if you were willing to cap the river?

Hero was clearly worried the case 8 would fall and counterfeit his hand.

I was 4-tabling, clearing the PP bonus, and misclicked when the window popped up? That's what I'm telling myself, at any rate, as I really don't have any idea.

How long were you at this table b/4 these knuckleheads backed off? Or did they? It doesn't happen often for me but I also take great pleasure in pinching these idiots off with monster hands - vnh!

I actually took a breather after this hand even though I knew it was a mistake to do so. I had a losing day yesterday and started out badly today - three river beats out of big pots. I wanted to bask in that feeling of happiness for a little while before going back to war. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif That's a flaw I need to work on.

It's a rock garden if you use bad table selection.
