anybody notice the 'chronicles of thomas covenant' allusion in the movie. rohan king (how did he get to be a main character anyway?) and his 'despair' speech?
anyway if i didnt have old eyes id reread 2 towers real quick the movie was unrecognizable for me but then again i read it 20 years ago.
can anybody confirm that in the book gollum did not save frodo in the marshes like in the movie? also i remember in the book they did lead him around bound but i could be wrong.
btw, i think frodo was overplayed (like he was tripping on lsd the whole movie) but i think sam came off ok.
