By "botched" you mean "played it and ran into AK," yes?

Hero's got 10x BB, so it's push or fold.

Hero's got AJo, which is a very good hand to move all-in with.

But hero's UTG, and he has somewhat of a stack, and BB's only got 3.5 BB. This is pretty hard... I think I push, but I really don't know.

I'd push.

2.75, and then consider if somebody pushes.

You don't have to push but at an $11 you may as well.

Tell me if this is ridiculous

If the BB just posted 100 of his 345 chips, he's prob goin all-in on this hand. Why not limp, let other limp, let the BB go all-in, and then reraise all-in yourself. If someone else raises before it gets to the BB you prob have to lay it down, but you could end up with a pretty profitable scenario - unless you think the big stacks will def call the reraise

This plan would work better if the BB wasn't an idiot that would probably fold anyway, which since this is a $11 is maybe 90% likely.

No, by botched I mean I put in 2.25 BB. Got 2 callers. Saw a 689 flop and check folded.

At an 11 I'd fold this at most tables. Pushing is bad because players call with like 66 all the time at that level, and there are just too many players left to act to figure that one won't have a hand within the calling range of most $11 players. They will call with KQs, AT+, any pp, and only AT makes you happy. So unless I had some real reason to think the table would figure me for a monster I'd fold.

I might limp if the table was passive and see if I could spike a hand. But I'm kinda fishy.

I'm doing good at the $11 but I've ran into this a lot. People call with any two cards 10 or higher, any PP and most Ax's. I just decided to change my strategy and push with better cards so I am dominating them. Once I've done that a few times then I can push with junk and they fold.

How big is your sample. In the first 20 or so I played I was running at about 20% ROI. And I've been getting whipped lately (80 SNG's later). So now my total ROI is like -4%. And while I wish I could say I have to bankroll to proceed....I actually only have 5 buyins left. And that is quite depressing.

If you make a standard 3-4X BB raise, you're putting almost half your stack at risk so you might as well grit your teeth and raise all-in. You will likely be called by the BB at least since he is so short-stacked. But I lean towards a fold, since any hand that calls that all-in likely has me dominated or I am just a coinflip and I would rather wait until a better spot when I liked my position more. It's raise all-in or fold, and I lean towards folding here.

You have been registered since 2002 so I assume this is a joke? After you played 20 you were up 20% ROI so that would indicate you were up $44. Then after 80 you have a -4% ROI which either means you are down -$35.20 or -$44. You should either be ahead or at break even? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

If not, then let me say that I was down to $5 two months ago then I started playing SnG's and am now up to $400 (after buying PT, the guide and cashing $100). A portion of this increase is from whoring bonuses though.

I just started tracking about a week ago so I know my stats don't really matter since my sample size is low.
