This guy was average tight player. Wasn't involved in too many pots and I thought he would fold here about 65% of the time.

I think you are vasty overestimating your fold equity on this hand, villian would be getting almost 3:1 to call and would be foolish to fold any hand, let alone 65% of them.

I would fold 23o but push most everything else.

It sucks, but I think its your best play too. Sometimes its ok to wait one more, but in this case the next BB will be a fairly large stack too. Villan will call a lot more then you think, and with every reason to. BUT you will win more often then you think.

Bottom line is.... You are hurtin ... Time to make something happen.

well, this play does have its merits, but not many of them. it is a 22, so you might be able to get him to fold if hes terrible, but i would call you in a heartbeat with almost any 2, and would not be folding anywhere near 65% of the time. my advice is to try to stick it in on the next rount with a hand that can win a showdown, or just get it in on yer blind. bah, it sucks to be short stacked. (btw, our nets back up at the apartment). holla

Keep in mind this is a 20+2.

People fold for weird reasons here for the same reason they call in situations where they shouldnt. stoopidety. At a higher limit I wait for a better spot, but I still hate it. This is a damned if ya do/dont place. A 22 at the 22s like raptor mentioned.

One important note...if you do plan to play this hand, you shuold strongly consider calling preflop and pushing on any flop. This is almost impossible to defend against if the BB is holding something like 85o and misses the flop, especially if they are a tight player.

If you think your opponent is the type that will fold here preflop with like 20-25% of hands (and trust me some people will, especially at the $22-$33 level), then pushing should be better than folding.
