Matt Flynn has said

[ QUOTE ]
I hereby pledge $1,000 to the cause for finding these animals and gladiating them

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm in for $1000

Chairman Wood pledged $250

masson55 pledged $250

I think with enough people we can make this happen, we already have 2.5K

And here's how we do it:

some one run some numbers on about how much this will cost

we pledge X amount of money each on this thread

if we think we have enough, we all send our pledge to a respected poster we can trust, say Matt Flynn since he gave us the first pledge

Matt Flynn pays whoever needs to be payed to get this thing goin

If it falls through Matt Flynn refunds proportionally all the money left to all contributers

there are only two possible situations.. you are stupid, or.. well, there is only one possible situation.

Do it in Texas, only state where Big Animals can be imported/purchased with a minimum of hassle. (And thus the location for the vast majority of the particularly macabre "When Animals Attack" videos).

Oh, I like animals and all, but I really want to see an elephant rampage, a rhino gore all kinds of crazy [censored], and a UFC guy realize just how big a 21 foot saltwater crocodile is.

Good luck with 2.5K. Or good luck with ten times that.

7 exotic and endangered species: $1,500,000
1 desperate UFC fighter willing to fight a crocdile: $100,000
Cost of transporting and feeding these animals: $250,000
Legal Fees: $1,000,000
Watching 8 animals figthing each other to the death: Priceless

"1 desperate UFC fighter willing to fight a crocdile: $100,000"

Then if he wins, he has to fight an elephant or a hippo or something. How much do you have to pay him for that?

agreed

doesn't look like we'll get that kind of cash though, but I had to try

Chairman Wood

I think if you found out actually how much $$ this would cost more $$ would come in.

Well, it couldn't happen on US soil, for starters. But I bet you could put the whole thing together, on a shoestring, for 750k++. Call Mugabe, not much else has been going Zimbabwe's way for a while.

Does anyone know any of those people who will import exotic animals for you to shoot in a cage? Or where to find them?

Ya He should be able to recognize the EV of this situation, clearly a good cause for a million bucks to go too.

I bet we could make money selling tickets to these fights.

He should look at it like buying a piece of our action. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Not to mention the fact that we could be bookies and take +EV bets... and think... DVD BOX SET.

I can hook you up with exotic animals, but probably not if you tell people you are going to shoot them. There are importers galore, just most of them are ubershifty.

i like what i'm reading here so far, there is money to be made in this to cover some of the costs, who knows, it might even turn a profit

but this is more important than money, i don't want to see this happen, i have GOT to see this happen

Michael Davis

Actually, it's already been done. (http://www.nationalgeographic.com/)

i don't get it, i see you've linked national geographic, but i don't see any videos of animal enclosed in a ring fighting to the death

"Then if he wins, he has to fight an elephant or a hippo or something. How much do you have to pay him for that?"

That depends on how badly his widow needs the money.

We're not shooting them. We're fighting them to the death. Big difference. How much do you think it would cost for all these animals?

This can be done but is tough. I have no clue how to start. We really need some poster from a tropical country with loose laws and a strong tradition of bribery to take point. I say it's time to take this to the main world internet boards. The offshore companies would book it, and Xtreme or another similar program on cable would likely do the project. Maybe just pitching it would be enough.

I can't transact the money. However, there are several on these boards who could.

Do you think we can get Mike Sexton & VVP to do the play by play?
