I don't know why you'd call with JJ. Reraise preflop unless you know the SB is a rock and has you beat already, (then fold) which is highly unlikely at this point. Reraise preflop.

There are a couple of schools of thought with medium pocket pairs it seems. One is what you suggest, to raise with them, playing them as a hand. The other is to play them for set value therfore needing improvement.
The reason I chose not to raise in the first place was because of my terrible position in the bb. Had I been in late position and been limped to me and the blinds been higher I probobly would have then raised.
Early in the tournament what I really want is to spike a set with overcards on the flop and take someones entire stack.
But since in this case the flop came with an overcard to my jacks and I am getting heat from MP3 I am thinking the chances are quite good that I already beat.

The raiser was in the SB, so you had position on him. You should re-raise to knock out the limpers and then you will have position for the rest of the hand.

After the SB checks the flop, I would've definately bet 100 on this flop. That's what the MP player did after everyone checked, and he won the pot. Maybe he had a K, maybe not.

I'd haved reraised preflop to about 125 or so juts to create the dead money and establish position. Doing so likely would have chesed everyone else, and then a 125 or so bet on the flop takes it down if PF RR doesn't.

I for one agree with you.Gigabet had a similar response to a TT hand a few days ago and it seems to me that JJ is similar to TT when overcards flop. Unless you had a real good read on SB I think you were correct at this stage of the tourny.
