I am having trouble with these two situations as to when to bet the river and when not to. Does anyone rely on a stat like how often the oponnent goes to showdown or on the opponent's agression factor here? I don't feel very well about either of these hands. Any comments on these two lines are greatly appreciated.

I think I'd check behind on the river in both hands. If your opponents have you beat, they seem determined to call down. Possibly in Hand 1 your opponent will fold a better ace, and maybe in Hand 2 your opponent will call with a worse one. But I don't think you'll benefit from a river bet often enough in these hands.
