Do I need to bet the river?

Should I just call that turn raise?

Without a read, it is usually at the turn raise that I would call down unless you hit a Q or A on the river. I think he has 55. If he is laggish go crazy on it unless a heart hits on the river.

I agree with chairman here,
I think you can slow down to his turn raise after capping the flop, unless he is an idiot who will cap with a pair of aces on the flop.

I kinda like raising him on the turn, but maybe I'm just a maniac. I like it when the foolios turn over AK-Ax, A5, or a heart draw here. If you want some ammo for my argument, go read vetman's post "Still in need of help," and see how eager he was to cap it on the flop, with just a draw, let alone good top pair or weaker two pair (sorry vet, not to pick on you, just making a point). Once you three bet, I think alot of guys cap it with you with hands you can beat, just cuz they get pissed or want to ram and jam...but sure, you'll be shown 55 sometimes.

As soon as I was raised on the turn the little voice in my head said "Yup, 55." But I figured there were enough hands that would raise on the turn that I had beat, like a heart draw plus a pair, or weaker two pair.

He did have 55, so I'm glad he let the river check through. I still think I like the turn 3 bet though, because a lot of people will semi bluff the heart draw here on principle. Any more comments from anyone?

If 3-betting the turn I can't see why you shouldn't also bet the river.

Since no draw got there I figure to make more by checking and calling to chop off a bluff, no?
