Hi

I am new (yes a fish) to poker especially No Limit.

First up I am not Math orientated, however is there a simple way to calculate in the heat of the action (through a spreadsheet for example) whether it is sensible to call for a flush / straight draw given whats already in the pot?

Most probably an easy solution, any help appreciated.

Well, you simply count your outs then it's more or less double to get the % chance. In the case of a flush, that's 18% by the turn. If it's an all-in situation and you will see the river regardless, then it's 36% (double again). These are very rough and only estimates, but that's really all you need.
