View Full Version : Logo Wear

Mason Malmuth

Hi Everyone:

We're looking into getting some nice Two Plus Two shirts. They'll be tennis shirts (100 percent cotton) like I wear (but nice ones) with our two plus two equals four logo.

My guess is they'll cost somewhere's from $15 to $20, and we'll probably give a few away as well.

So would anyone be interested?

Thanks,
Mason

Mason-

I can't see myself wearing this at a poker table. I'd likely won't one but 2+2 is just not one of those things that I show off around the card room with.

Good point. "Hey look everybody, I like to spend all my spare time studying and discussing poker theory."

The only thing more stupid to wear into a card room would probably be a Mike Caro T-shirt and hat.

The problem with wearing a twoplustwo shirt is that people will ask questios, find out you read and study on poker forums, visit, register, post and make the forum even more crowded than it already is.

Plus people might come up to you and often say: "The answer is four" /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm sure Pooh-Bah's will get an entire set of gear for free, right?

It only seems right.

As for the design, it would be cool if on the front there were little pics of S+M and those guns from the books, and on the back, across the back, a brown trout (with no explanation). I don't know how you could do a graphic with the trout asleep in a closet. That might be pushing it.

This is all so exciting!!

I'd like to have a nice button up shirt with a little brown trout logo.

I like the whole secret society idea more than the 2+2 goes mainstream idea. But I guess that wouldn't promote Mason's empire which seems to be the point here.

I don't think I'd buy some cheap graphic t-shirt though. Downgrading to a t-shirt and educating fish at the same time does not seem fun.

Luckily stupid people will remain stupid whether they purchase the books or not.

A tennis shirt is very similar to a polo shirt just not as heavy.

I think at least a long sleeve option is needed as well Mason for two reasons:

a shirt that says, "does the brown trout sleep in the closet?" on the front. The back would have some kind of an attempt to have a brown trout sleeping in a closet(maybe a fish with "zzzz" in a closet).
I've thought about having a shirt like that made myself(of course, no logo or any atempt would be made to impersonate 2+2=4) but it would be way sweeter if 2+2=4 actually made it.

2+2 logo shirts?

Man, that's the best news I have heard since I found out Shana Hiatt
was in Playboy!

Will they come in "Mason Malmuth Black"? (My favorite color)

Or "Ray Zee's Gold"?

Any color is fine but black would be the nuts!

I have a few free shirts that I have acquired from various poker sites. I have worn one outside of the house exactly one time, and that was by accident. A 2+2 shirt would take a spot in my regular shirt rotation.

I will buy a shirt under the following conditions:

1. On the tag in the shirt where it tells what size it is, it says OP for online professional and it is a big enough shirt that Granny Mae can wear it as a night gown.

2. David figures out the EV for Mason and David of buying this shirt, having word spread about what 2+2 is, and more people buying 2+2 books. Every shirt has to have an EV on it. It should increase with each progressive shirt sold. That way Ray Zee can say "i have shirt EV 1," while JoeTall can gloat "I have shirt EV 9.225677777..., Go Sox" and Dynasty can brag "I have shirt EV 15(pi)^2, WHOS 2+2 NOW?, BITCH!" and BusterStacks can show at his parole hearing "I have shirt EV 69.98763, house arrest deez nutz," and Mat Sklansky can point to his and say "I have shirt EV 0, it should be 10, but I deleted the 1!" and Clarkmesiter can say "I bought shirt EV 27.98 but I aggressively bet it up to 28.98," while NPA Ed Miller can say "I have shirt EV 800.12, now for a quiz . . ." and Granny Mae can show everyone at the old folks home "I have nightgown EV 68, I could have gotten 69, but AA doesn't reciprocate," and finally El Diablo can get a mask and muffle "I have Mask EV TOM VU!"

3. Every 50th customer gets a personalized care package from Mason and David including every non computer item in this picture:

My GF was shopping yesterday and saw a shirt that said "POKER KING" on it and naturally had to be buy it for me.

It's kind of a joke but I will probably make it my 'lucky' shirt to wear when playing online or something.

I think that wearing it to the poker-room would be about the equivilent of going to a bar wearing a big hat (or shirt) that says "BEER"

Hi Mason -

A black or dark-colored 2+2 colored shirt would definitely find its way into my rotation. A white one I would buy out of obligation but only wear when I'm feeling particularly fit (read: not often).

However, if I wore it to a cardroom, I would have to tell people I won it by watching WPT and calling in during a commercial. /images/graemlins/cool.gif Otherwise, I do a pretty good job of marketing your products.

It would be fun to wear one with FISH in large letters on the back, I think, and on the front like a name tag size.

Might as well offer 2+2 pins, buttons, hats, and card protectors, while you are at it!
