[ QUOTE ]
"Ben Collins writes "I recently won a satellite tournament at Full Tilt Poker for entry into the World Poker Tour Final at Foxwoods Casino. I picked up poker as a hobby about 4 months ago, and consider myself a decent player, maybe due to programming experience (analytical thinking). Any other programmers/computer people find that they can play poker better than the average person because of their computer experience?"

Click the link to read the replys, huge thread. Very insightful, and filled with lies and mistruths. Typcial Slashdot coverage... lots of idiots with a few good posters. The coverage reminds me of the Judges game in the movie Rounders.... all those intelegent minds abd not a single player in the bunch.

If you figure the /. crowd to be bright, then you obviously don't read it much. =)

For all their geekdom, much more intelligent thoughts come out of this board (hard to believe, I know).
