Because the ball is dead, Jeter was never allowed to attempt to reach second to begin with.

Even if I don't like the call, I understand and agree with its consequences.

That's what happens when you sell people lots of beer.

If MLB really wanted to fix that, and make their games true "family" events, they'd ban alcohol sales.

well, I think he was on second by the time it happened. that was a slow roller.

I can't find anything specifically that says what A-Rod did was technically wrong, but lets be honest, that is poor sportsmanship and should very well be against the rules(if it explicitly isn't).

I wouldn't be surprised if A-Rod gets suspended.

I imagine the pinch runner concept originally came about when someone got hurt on the base paths. Some guy got hurt and was replaced.

Then some manager got the idea of replacing a guy who wasn't hurt, and all the fun started.

Yes, I saw that, but at that point the fielder wasn't trying to field the ball, nor was he throwing the ball. The ball was fielded, and in his glove, and the fielder was attempting to get in the runner's way with the glove.

The runner did go right to avoid him (just look how far right he was by the time he passed the bag), but the runner's arm collided with the fielder's arm.

I still say this was a judgement call here, and the ump at first made it, and they shouldn't have huddled and overturned it on something so close.

No way. There is no curse. The Boston Red Sox are a better team this year than they were last year. They have a bullpen. They have defense. They have Curt Schilling. The New York Yankees are not putting this series away, and for that, they are going to lose.

The Red Sox are supposed to be the team that can't put the other guys away. The Red Sox are supposed to be the team that isn't able to come through with clutch hits like David Ortiz's, or get clutch saves from Foulke. This could very well be their year. I think it is. Red Sox, in a nailbiter tommorrow. They're going to win.

You have to root for a team that came back down 3-0 to 3-3.
You have to root for a team that could have said die at any point during the last 3 games, but didn't.
You have to root for a team that managed to stave off Mariano Rivera just to avoid getting swept, and then did it again, despite runners already being on.
The Red Sox aren't supposed to win games like this. No team is, except maybe the Yankees. That's why you have to root for the Sox here.
