For those of you who consider yourselves fashion experts, please tell me, what is the Perfect Skirt Length?

This diagram got me thinking about it:

I think the one shown is about right--apparently the guy thinks so too, since his mouth is gaping open! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

The key to a perfect skirt is:
1- short length
2- split on side

That's pretty hilarious. Apparently the right length has something to do with the height of each individual male.

So either women should wear certain length skirts only around males of identical height, or constantly adjust their skirts in the presence of men of varying heights, which action should inject a tremendous amount of suspense into even the most ordinary interactions. I suppose with taller males, you should hike up your skirt more so that they still have a direct eyeline from the edge of the hem to the promised land. Similarly, the closer a man sits, the more you should pull your skirt up. Adaptations of this sort might well result in a feedback loop between parties, propelling the man ever closer as the woman adjusts by slipping her skirt higher and higher up her thighs. This sort of recipricatory courtesy and consideration toward others is something I think we can all profit from.

What a coincidence. I just happened to catch "Basic Instinct" on cable for the first time in 10 years. You know the scene...
