I'll be damned.

It's true, you DO learn something new everyday. I had no idea and just now put two and two together......"that's the same guy on the cheesy infomercials!" /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks Ed....knowledge IS power.

This is an interesting tournament report, worth reading.

That said, I don't know why this sort of thing bothers me so much:

[ QUOTE ]
WPT rules don't allow writer's to say what happens next. Suffice it to say,

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe I should have said bother's, but then again, I am not a "writer."

When someone is as smart and successful as Tommy Vu, it is no surprise that he will do well in anything he tries. From reading the tournament report, it is clear that he was the superior player at this table. Of course, a win like this is peanuts to someone like Tom Vu. I bet he probably just gave it to one of the bikini-clad beauties on his yacht.

When I visited Vegas during the summer, I encountered Tommy in the 40/80 game and his style is pure gamble from what I observed. He'll sit there almost falling alseep, getting a massage from his Asian lady and then he'll perk up and decide to raise in the dark, sometimes even up to the river.

My last night in the game, people are commenting on how someone is stinking up the table. Tommy decides that I am the culprit FROM ACCROSS THE TABLE and I deny it. Just as we're arguing this in the middle of a hand, the guy sitting 2 seats to my left tells us that he'll go the bathroom just in case it was him.

I've never seen someone cram as many hundred dollar bills into his wallet as Tommy.
