I like this guy...wish he didnt leave the table.
Villain is the same for both hands. The first hand scared me a bit thinking he had KT with all the reraising he did. Should or would you have slowed down on this? My thinking was he is in EP and most likely like all PP players call with KT in EP. But then again I said go for it - I just had to. Now I did not get a read on this guy because I just sat down at the table.
Hand 1 - Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Wada is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 (Villain) calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Wada raises, Button calls, SB folds, BB folds, UTG+1 (Villain) calls. Flop: (7.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Villain bets, Wada raises, Button folds, Villain 3-bets, Wada caps, Villain calls. Final Pot: 23.75 BB Results in white below: Villain shows Qd Ts (two pair, kings and tens). Wada shows Td Th (full house, tens full of kings). Outcome: Wada wins 23.75 BB. I had nothing on this hand but 90% of the time so did Villain. I dont know what possessed me to call this but I did. I should not have played this hand from this position - correct? Hand 2 - Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Wada is MP3 with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Wada calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds. Re: I like this guy...wish he didnt leave the table.
The guy is definitely a maniac. But since you didn't already know that in hand 1, I think raising the river bet is really questionable when the second 7 hits. The only thing that a reasonable player would have played like that is a K. No way you can fold to the river bet, but I think a call is better than a raise.

Re: I like this guy...wish he didnt leave the table.
capping the river in hand 1 is bad. you lose if he is holding a K. just call.
i think the bet on the river in hand 2 is dubious.there are two players to act behind you and they might call you with a 4 or 5 or whatever.i just check it through. but hey, you got an extra bet out of it so more power to ya. hand 3 i definately push him as far as he can go....especially since it looks like he is willing to just go all-in before leaving the table (or re-loading). |

Re: I like this guy...wish he didnt leave the table.
Everything he's doing tells you that he's got a King in hand one. He didn't, but if you play like this against an unknown player all the time, it will cost you bets.
Hand 2- you want to pick better hands to play against maniacs. Especially seeing as how it's not heads up. That's maniac play. I think the common perception of fish is that they're loose, passive players. This is just a LAGy maniac. |
