Default Not Probability, but Math

Has any one looked seriously into Game Theory? I have a chance to take a course of it at my uni, and wondering if it's worthwhile.

Actually I'll take it regardless, because it finishes off my math minor, but I wanted to know what to expect from it, and wheter it'll help at the tables.

Thanks

Game Theory is rather difficult to understand in the beginning. In a first course, you get a fair amount of theory without being able to apply it to poker, but if you do want to apply game theory to poker, start with the game theory course and then read the few articles published on the topic (articles by von Neuman, Nash, Shapely, one or two in the american math monthly, and a few recent ones in a Japanese mathematics journal)
