Blind steal gone horribly right, now what
alright...in my quest to maximize value I'm posting hands where I think I screwed up. I might have been able to raise a little more on the flop....this guy is a 40/6 donkey. The board pairing on the turn coupled with his lead worried me a little so I just called (raise here? How much?) River bet seemed fine after he checked....I bet what I thought he'd call.

Re: Blind steal gone horribly right, now what
I think on this flop, he'll call a bigger flop raise since he bet out. I think raising to 10 would be fine. But it is fine as played.
On the turn, raise it up to $20. Give him a chance to put in more money. On the river I bet about 2/3 pot. I don't like your bet size |

Re: Blind steal gone horribly right, now what
You hit gin, raise slighlty more on the flop, raise his turn bet, put the rest in on the river. |

Re: Blind steal gone horribly right, now what
question:
Is noone concerned about the boat w/ the paired board out there? What's the plan if villain reraises your 2/3 psb on the river? |

Re: Blind steal gone horribly right, now what
Not vs a 40/6 donkey who is defending his blinds because he got dealt 2 cards.
Both his flop and turn bets are weak blocking bets. But he is a donkey, so he will still call if you raise. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is why I didn't raise the turn...after the river check I was sure he didn't have a better flush than me, or a FH....hence I bet much less hoping he'd call because of the pot size. |
