2001fp resolution problem
Every time I change resolution to 1600x1200 and my computer goes into low power. When I wake it up, I get this message that says "DVI cannot display this mode" So I have to reset my computer because I can't shut down normally because I cant see the screen. Sometimes I need to restart several time before it will display 1600x1200??? Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks, Jess |

Anyone?? Thanks, Jess [/ QUOTE ] Does your graphics card support 1600x1200 resolution? Also, do you have your monitor power cable plugged into the back of your power supply, or does it go to the wall outlet? |

When I shake my mouse I get this message on my monitor "DVI cannot display this mode" I restart my computer and everything is fine. 1600x1200 displays fine?? Thanks Jess |

Thanks Jess [/ QUOTE ] Since you mentioned power, try plugging the monitor straight into a wall outlet or your surge protector and see if that fixes it. If not, go into your monitor settings and make it so the monitor never goes into standby or low power mode. It sounds like its going into standby and not able to bring it back to normal mode. I have standby disabled, I just turn off the monitor if I'm not going to use it for a while. |

Re: 2001fp resolution problem
I will disable standby mode. It's probably better for the monitor anyway.
Thanks, Jess |
