raise more pre-flop
bet more on turn this looks like either 55 or a weaker J. will he call a push with JT, QJ, KJ? if so, push now. if you think he can get away from those, raise the river instead |

unlesss he flopped a boat, i think your hand is good. i don't see him calling the flop with 44, so the only hand you're really behind to is 55. it seems much more likely that he has JK or JQ (or worse).
i think the beauty of this hand is in that you played it so fast. it looks to villian like you've got AA/KK/QQ. he has absolutely no reason to believe you have a J. now your job is to figure out how to get all your money in. if you think he'll call it off on the turn, reraise all in. if not, let him tap you on fifth street. the only hand i worry about him having is 55, and if he does, well, that sucks. nh though. |
