What should I play?
In my short poker career( about 6 months) I have went form .5/1 full to 1/2 short to 3/6 short. I was a pretty good winner at the first 2 limits well over 3BB/100. 3/6 short has me winning at barely above break even so far. My question is this: Should I give something else a shot before staying at 3/6 short?
I am wondering if I may have missed some fundamentals by not playing say 2/4 full for example. What do most players do? Any recommendations? |

Re: What should I play?
Just to let you know, I started by playing NL $25 and $20+2 SNG's. From there I went to $1/2 6-max, $3/6 full, $5/10 6-max, and now $10/20 6-max. I am a slight winner so far at $10/20 after 40k hands (but up a decent amount when you include rakeback), so if you're rolled for the game I say you could keep playing it until you beat it. Since I have around 1000 BB's for $10/20, I figure I might as well stay here until I beat it for more (or run better). But I did find $3/6 full to be quite a learning experience back when I played it.

Re: What should I play?
PokerStars 2/4 short is a good game. No rakeback sucks, but the FPPs you get for playing are worth something. The interface is better than Party's and fast. PS is just a better company all around.
I played on PS recently from 2/4 to 10/20 (mostly short) for a few weeks, and found the games just as soft, if not softer than Party's. Unfortunately, the lure of rakeback has drawn me back to a Party skin. ZZZ |

Re: What should I play?
I played about 10k hands of stars 2/4 short. it's not much better than party 1/2. rb is the problem.
I have abou $4k in bankroll, so quite enough for 3/6. |

Re: What should I play?
You havent' mentioned how many hands you've played at 3/6. If you're practicing good table selection, there are games that are identical to good 1/2 games in 5/10 so I know they're in 3/6. I don't think there will be that big a difference between 2/4 and 3/6 so you should stick it out, keep working on your game, and wait to hit your run. I think you should only move down if you're losing a ton and scared you're being outplayed.

Re: What should I play?
I hate stretches like that, but 12k is still really small, believe it or not. I would say concentrate on finding juicy tables and stick with it.

Re: What should I play?
Definitely stay at 3/6 unless you truly feel like you're being outplayed.
