I don't really understand the question in the title of your post.
Something to consider though. After he calls the flop, he could certainly have a pair, but he could also have a variety of draws. When the turn pairs, we now know none of the draws hit and he's now slightly less likely to have a pair. I would strongly consider betting out on the turn, unless I considered him a tricky player who would raise me with only a draw. In that case, I'd rather check behind and call a river bet. |

If you had, say, 9-8, and no decent reads on me and I bet the turn, would you muck?
