New DVDR drive, need software
Hi all. I just ordered a refurb DVDR drive, so it came sans software. Does anyone have any recommendations for software both to view and burn DVDs? Thanks a lot.

Re: New DVDR drive, need software
For burning, I recommend DVD Decrypter. For reading, I use Power DVD and am pretty happy with it.

Re: New DVDR drive, need software
dvdshrink and dvdecrypter are both great but IIRC both are rippers - neither burns to DVD. You'll need something like nero or alcohol 120% to actually burn...

Re: New DVDR drive, need software
My mistake - I thought it just created HD images.
I don't know if you saw but apparently the last one has been released and his site/project voluntarily shut down after being threatened by some anti-piracy entity (possibly Sony). Might want to get the latest release while you still can... Mike |
