Default ooppps i accident signed up for a neteller debit card, have questions

so i was looking over the debit card option with neteller, i clicked where it says "CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR A NETELLER DEBIT CARD NOW!"

so naturally i clicked it wanting to look at the application, then it says "thank you, your card will be shipped in 3 weeks, blah blah blah"

i am somewhat interested in it, is it worth it to those who have it? or any other pros and cons to it?

anyone wanna help a brotha out?

I believe there are quite a few fees associated with it.

yea i saw that, a fee to put money into your debitcard since tis not directly to your account, a fee to take money out via atm, a fee for not using it in 30 days.

i was hoping someone would chime in with the pros of this card.

if you never take it out of your desk drawer then it costs absolutely nothing. they send it to you for free because they HOPE you will use it and they can charge you fees.

same thing like they try to upsell instacash over standard EFT.

I have never used the neteller debit card myself and I don't find the fee schedule enticing enough to ever try. it's easy enough for me to just EFT back to my regular checking account and use my "home" bank debit card.

I was fairly certain that there were inactivity fees associated with the card that ramped up the longer it sat unused. I accidently got one, read the terms, and sent them an email to cancel it (which they did promptly).

I'd double-check that to make sure you haven't been charged. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure, as that was the reason I cancelled it instead of just not using it.

thats inactivity from when you withraw money to the card and then don't cash it out. they aren't going to charge you if you order the card and don't withdraw.

I've had one about six months that I never used. Haven't had a fee charged yet.

the "dormant" charge only applies if you have a balance currently on the card. if you never load it, there is no penalty.

What if you withdraw the entire balance everytime you transfer money to the card?
